MEEt the board
Meghan Pease - President
Meghan’s WHY - She knew very little about the foster care community until she was asked to be one of the founding members of the Foster Well board. Since then, her heart has grown so much for the foster care community. She now lives just outside Baltimore in Maryland with her husband, Kenny and their puppy dog, Ovi.

Cristina Leach - Vice President
Christina’s WHY - With the dream of fostering someday, Cristina and her husband Dan, have volunteered in church and the community for over 20 years. This has provided them with many opportunities to see first hand the struggles and needs of families in the area. After having 2 birth children (Danielle, 15 & Stephanie, 12), they became foster parents in 2017. The Leach’s have since adopted their son, Ty age 4, from foster care and fostered 8 others. Foster Well has made it possible for them to share their love of fostering with the community at large.

Jennifer Davis - Secretary
Jennifer's WHY - After hearing about Foster Well through a local mom's group she began volunteering and discovering how the foster care system works in Delaware. While delivering supplies and other necessities requested through Foster Well and CarePortal she began to learn from the caregivers directly about the challenges they face on a daily basis. These interactions inspired her to find out how she could help Foster Well even more. After a meeting with Christine and Jill she decided to join the board. Now she and her husband and 2 daughters volunteer their time to help with Foster Well.

Sarah Shepard - Treasurer & Director of Corporate Relations
Sarah’s WHY - Since Sarah and her husband, Nick, had their son (Will) in 2021, Sarah began to research foster care and the work she had seen Foster Well do through a mutual church connection at CityLight Vineyard Church. Being a parent changed her perspective on foster care completely. That same year, Nick’s Aunt and Uncle adopted an amazing young boy with special needs and a story that branded itself on many hearts. Seeing how their love, care, and prayers truly helped him heal in radical ways, Sarah discovered a passion for helping children stay in safe and loving homes. She hopes to use her relationships with businesses and the Delaware community to spread awareness and raise funding to support kids and families in the foster care system.

Brian Comley - General Board Memeber
Brian's WHY - I married my amazing wife, Shannon, 18 years ago & after finding Jesus in 2016, we realized there was a need to help children. Shannon works on the front lines as a Detective and she has seen first-hand the need for the local community to support the foster system. We jumped in and prayed to be put to work. God gave us Cerenity & Ci in 2023. Navigating the system is not easy and takes resources and, most of all, a community to be successful. I wanted to share my story and help the cause the minute I heard the vision of Foster Well through another board member, Sarah Shepherd.
