Our mission is to see children and families in the local foster care community thrive, by providing loving, tangible support through connections with churches and community members.
We envision a world where children and families in the foster care community are loved and supported and every need is met.
Statistics show that over 1/2 of foster families quit fostering in their first year due to a lack of support. We don't want to see this continue in our community. Our goal is to provide practical and emotional support to these children and families. This support looks like meals, care packages, encouragement, and more. We all need others to reach out to, or who can step in with help and encouragement at the right time.
We are currently partnering with Children & Families First, Children's Choice, and the Division of Family Services to serve the foster care community in New Castle County, DE. As we grow, we will work to include Kent and Sussex Counties, Chester County, and Cecil County, as well.
Meet the Board
Christine Robinson - Founder / Director
Meghan Daly - Treasure
Meghan’s WHY - She knew very little about the foster care community until she was asked to be one of the founding members of the Foster Well board. Since then, her heart has grown so much for the foster care community and hopes to foster as a family one day. She is a CASA within Baltimore City and leads her small group in serving a foster family at her church in Baltimore, Redemption City Church.
Cristina Leach - Secretary & CarePortal Chair
Christina’s WHY - With the dream of fostering someday, Cristina and her husband Dan, have volunteered in church and the community for over 20 years. This has provided them with many opportunities to see first hand the struggles and needs of families in the area. After having 2 birth children (Danielle, 15 & Stephanie, 12), they became foster parents in 2017. The Leach’s have since adopted their son, Ty age 4, from foster care and fostered 8 others. Foster Well has made it possible for them to share their love of fostering with the community at large.
