Giving Tree - Choose your Gift!
Our child welfare system is overburdened and needs the support of the larger community around them. Foster Well exists to be a bridge between the foster care community and those that want to love and support them. One of the ways we do this is through our virtual Giving Tree, sponsoring gifts for foster families and their caseworkers between November 6th and December 14th.
Agency workers have shared that the biggest need they have during the holidays is useful gifts to encourage the family, specifically gift cards that could be used to buy specific items needed or requested by the children. Foster and kinship families have a lot on their plate, and the Christmas season just adds to it. Any help to purchase needed items or gifts for the children is greatly appreciated. We give the Amazon gift cards along with a note of encouragement for the families.
Caseworkers have caseloads that are overwhelming, especially right now. Starbucks gift cards will be given to the caseworkers as a small token of our gratitude for the tiring and often overlooked work they do. We will deliver the gift cards along with thank you cards as an encouragement that people in their community care about them.

Kinship Angels
There are many programs during the holidays focused on giving gifts to children in foster care, but children in kinship care do not have the same resources even when their caregivers are low-income. So we are partnering again with Children's Choice this year to provide gifts for kinship families in need. The caseworkers have talked with the family and written down 3 present ideas for each child, then you shop and wrap the gifts! If you're interested in this, email: [email protected] to receive an "angel".
Thank you so much for your generous gift of two gift cards. We are blown away by this blessing. We will be using the Target one for diapers. The Amazon one will be put to good use for shoes, books & other fun stuff. - Foster Parent
Thank you so much for the Starbucks gift!! I truly appreciate your kind words and thoughtfulness behind the work that we do for our families. As always we could not do this work without your consistent help, so thank you for EVERYTHING you contribute to our team. - Case Worker
